Another one for the Divas!!

Hi!!  I was really on the ball before I left for convention last week, and finished yesterday's card--over a week ahead of schedule!!  But, alas, I forgot that I was so on the ball, and yesterday morning created this card for yesterday's challenge!! 

This was made with the set we got FREE at Convention--it's called Just Believe!  I really like it alot!  I used markers on the rubber to get the multi-colored image.  Quick and easy!

Divas Coffee Break Design Challenge #186

Good morning!!  I am so excited--I am flying out this morning to attend the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City!!  Woohoo!!!  It is going to be so much fun!!  Can't wait!  But, don't worry--I have posts scheduled each day, so be sure and check back!!

A quick and simple card!!  I used the 3/4" square punch to create the zig zag strip.

Nacho Average Stampers' Swaps!

TechnoStamper's Sketch #128

Happy July 4th!!!  No, my card isn't red, white and blue--sorry!!  But, I am using some fun new products!!  I had some time to stamp today, and decided to play with my new toys.  And, for inspiration, I used the sketch found HERE.

The three red squares are from the new hostess set, Cute by the Inch!  I love it!!  Instead of the big circle on the sketch, I used a butterfly I cut out using the Beautiful Butterflies Die (and Big Shot!).  The designer paper is called Greenhouse Gala.  Stampin' Up! has really outdone themselves with the new paper!!  I love it all!!!

Mojo Monday #144

WOW!!  It's been awhile since I was able to participate in the Mojo Monday Sketch!  But, I needed a card for my Shoebox Swap tonight, so I used this week's sketch to help me out!

I used the Tropical Party stamp set, along with the Travel Journal Designer Paper.  I really like these colors together!!  (Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green & Bashful Blue).  For the Bashful Blue layer, I used the Square Lattice Embossing folder to add some texture.  The little embellishments in the bottom right were done with silver brads and one of the Itty Bitty Shapes Punches.

I sure hope the girls like it tonight!!

Divas Coffee Break Design Challenge #181

Good morning!!  How are you?!  All is well here in the sunny Southwest!!  Yesterday was gorgeous!!  My youngest played in a golf tournament, then my oldest had a double-header!!  Full, fun day!!

This week's challenge was a sketch challenge:

And, here is my version:

As you can see, I flipped it!  And, I don't have any ovals (dies or punches--shame on me!!!), so I used what I had--the Scallop Circle die, and the Blossom Party die!!  I just love my big shot!!!  The stamped image is from Think Happy Thoughts--doesn't this designer paper make you think happy thoughts?!!  It's the new Island Oasis, found in the Summer Mini catalog!!

Embellish Magazine's Blog Hop!!!

It's here!!  The first Embellish Magazine Blog Hop!!  I am so honored to have been a contributor to the first issue, as well as this hop!  I loved the magazine, and can't wait to "hop" through all these wonderful projects!!  So, grab a cup of your favorite morning beverage and enjoy the creativity!!

For the hop, we were asked to create a paper craft project using: red, brown, kraft, turquoise and use twine.  (White/Cream are fine to add as well).  I have fallen in love with Stampin' Up!'s new Elements of Style stamp set--so I grabbed that!!

 

I used my wonderful Big Shot to cut out the three butterflies--one each in Bermuda Bay, Kraft and Real Red.  I stamped the flower image in Basic Brown ink, and watercolored with Real Red and Bermuda Bay.  The pearls are from the Pretties Kit, adhered with Mini Glue Dots.  The card base is Kraft, which is then layered with Bermuda Bay.  I sent my 1/4 sheet of Soft Suede through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I love that folder!!  But, to be honest--I'm not sure which is the "right" side!! haha!!  So, I just use whichever I like better!  The sentiment is also from Elements of Style--it's stamped in Basic Brown, then I added the flower image in Bermuda Bay.  I'm very happy with the way the card turned out!  Sure hope you like it, too!!!

Nacho Average Stamp Camp!!

Good morning!!  Here are the projects I promised to share with you!  Each quarter, I hold a stamp camp for my great group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators!  It's always such a blast!!

This first project was a CASE of a project by Robin Messinheimer--it's a tea bag holder!  I thought the saying from "Favorite Thoughts" worked perfectly for this project!!

We used Pink Flamingo Designer paper for the tea cup, and the inside:

The second project was a double matchbox treat holder:

I used the Raspberry Lemonade Designer Paper, along with the Razzle Dazzle Stamp Set.  The sentiment is from It's Your Birthday.  And, colors used were Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry.  Here's a peek at the inside:

 

And, the third project was done with the Big Shot and the Petal Card Die:

I used the Tall Tales Designer Paper for this one!  The bottom (or inside) of the gift card holder was run through the crimper--this makes it just a bit smaller so that it will fit!  This is an old idea--we used to do this with envelopes, too!  And, the flower was made with the scallop, 1 1/4" and 1" circle punches!!

Divas Sketch Challenge #84

Happy Saturday!!!  I'm so glad the weekend is here!!  We have no plans--just gonna hang out!!  Pure heaven!!

This week, Carol gave us a tough one!!  Well, for me anyway!!  You can see the sketch HERE at the UDI Blog!  

And, here is my card:

The circle were cut using the Big Shot and the Circles #2 Die.  I used the Raspberry Lemonade Designer paper.  The flower is from Petal Pizzazz--I stmaped it in Melon Mambo, then cut it out. 

Very simple, but it's the best I could do!!  I might have to try again later today--we'll see!!
