Saturday Sketch Challenge #241

It's time for another Saturday Sketch Challenge!!!  This week was a really fun one:

And, my card:

I used my "Bordering on Romance" stamp set (love this one!) along with a sentiment from "Loving Thoughts".  We received this set at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference, and it's really pretty!  I also used the Twitterpated Designer Paper--the colors are so great in this paper!!  I stamped the flower in Black Stazon, then colored in with Stampin' Write Markers (Island Indigo, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz).

Stamping 411 Set Sampler!!

Good morning! It was my turn to do the "Whatever" post on Stamping 411!!  I chose to do a set sampler using a fun new stamp set coming in January! (in the Occasions Mini Catalog). It's called Bordering on Romance, and it's so very pretty!! I really tried to do a masculine card, but failed! :-) If you come up with one using this set, please share with me!! I did manage to use all the colors groups--to give you some variety! Supplies for will be listed for each card! Enjoy!!!

A year in review, continued!!

Good morning!!  I've got a big pot of chili in the crockpot, and am ready to enjoy the day!!  Here are the next four months of the Year in Review!!  Enjoy!

May:

I didn't put titles--so everyone could do their own thing!  I'll use mine for Mother's day!  Color sare Pear Pizzazz and White, with the Paisley Petals Designer Paper.

June:

Need for Speed & Best Dad Ever Stamp Sets.  Colors are Not Quite Navy and Early Espresso,

July:

Colors are Night of Navy, Whisper White and Real Red!!  Used the Big Shot for the letters!!

August:

Under the Stars Stamp set;  colors are crumb cake and chocolate chip!

A Year in Review

Springtime Smiles

Good morning!!  Here's another of the cards we made at my April Stamp-a-Stack!  I copied a card we made at  a downline shoebox swap back in March!  Sharon made this card, but she used Pink PIrouette and Soft Suede.  I didn't have any pink pirouette cardstock (yikes!!), so I changed the colors to Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight!!  The flower is stamped on the white cardstock, then colored in with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write marker.  The sentiment is stamped on the Vellum Cardstock.

Good Morning!!

Did you miss me yesterday?!  Had a great time at the Stamp-a-Stack!!  It's always fun to stamp with friends!

Today's share is from my Scrapbook Club--they met last Sunday, and I'm just now getting the pictures up!  It's been VERY windy here, and it makes it hard for me to take pictures.  I take my pics outside, and when the wind is up, the projects won't sit still!! haha!!

Anyway, these are both 6x6 spreads.  I'm going to do 8x8 next round--so we have more space for stamping!!  (if you're insterested, email me @ stampinmama@comcast.net)

This first highlights the Sneak Peek items for April!  I love the Four Frames Stamp set, as well as the Paisley Petals Designer Paper.  The colors are soooo pretty!!!  I used Peach Parfait and Baja Breeze for these pages.

This second spread is just for Dad's!!

I didn't use designer paper on this one, so I had to choose my own colors!!  (yikes!!)  But, I have my trusty Color Coach, and it told me to use Night of Navy, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight!  I like it!!

Quick and Easy Easter

Good morning!!  What a great weekend!  I love meeting with all my clubs!  We had a blast!!  Here is one of the cards we made:

I used the egg from the Easter Blossoms stamp set (only availabe until April 30!!).  I embossed it with white embossing powder on Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery cardstock, then punched out with the 1 3/8" square punch!  Just adhere to a whisper white card base, stamp the sentiment (from Teeny Tiny Wishes) and voila--you have a quick and easy Easter Card!!  I added some "stitching" around the squares with a Pretty in Pink marker--you can barely see it in the picture!

Happy Easter!!

Good morning!!  It's a beautiful morning here--watching the sun come up over the Sandias!  And, no wind........yet!  haha!!

Here's a sweet card that we've been making at my March workshops.  All the guests get to make 2 projects at my workshops--they always enjoy this part, and I love to see new stampers as they make their first creation!!

On to the card:

Of course, I used my favorite Easter set--Easter Blossoms!  I just think that little girl is sooooo cute!  This is a pretty simple card--just stamping and layering!  Colors are Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip--a timeless color combo!  The ribbon is done by simply twisting it as you lay it down onto a strip of Sticky Strip!  Easy peasy!
