Stamp with Tammy

One Last Fall Card............

Good morning!  I found this card the other day--we made it back in November at my Card Club! 

Isn't this pretty?  I CASE'd this from someone, but can't remmber now!  (so, if this is your card, please let me know!!)  I used Kraft cardstock for my base.  The strips of Spice Cake designer paper were adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink.  Then, the very vanilla piece was layered onto the Soft Suede cardstock.  I also used the Ruffled Ribbon in Pool Party, and added an Antique Brad!  Very simple card--and you could use this layout with any of our designer papers!

Saturday Sketch challenge #230

It's time for another fun Saturday Sketch Challenge!!  I love, love, love this sketch:

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I thought I'd make a card to send!!  I miss my Mom, especially at this time of year!  So, I think I'll send this to her!

I love this embossing technique--you stamp and adhere the items first, then send the whole thing through your Big Shot and your choice of embossing folders!

This one was case'd from Jill--isn't it pretty!!  You can see her card HERE!

Oh, and I received my advance copy of the Occasions Mini Catalog--WOW!  I can't wait to show you!  It's starts in January!!  Some advice--if you don't already have the Big Shot, put it on your Christmas list!!  You'll definitely want one when you see all the new dies and such in the new mini!!

Good morning!!  Here's a card we made at my card club meeting on Monday!

Very simple!  I used the Happy Thanksgiving from Teeny Tiny Wishes--stamped it, then punched it out with the word window punch.  I cut a Top Not Die out of Crumb Cake cardstock, then stamped all over it with Rich Razzleberry Leaves!  (from Gently Falling)  Tied a ribbon around, then adhered to Rich Razzleberry card base!

Simple, but I love it!!  Keep checking back--I'm working on so much, and I can't wait to share it all with you!

Saturday Sketch challenge #228

Happy Friday!!  That means it's time for our weekly Stamping 411 sketch challenge!!  I loved this one:

and, my card:

I had so much fun with this one!!  I went back to one of my fav color combos this fall:  Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.  The stamp set is Gently Falling!  For the main image panel, the leaves were all just stamped randomly--for the old olive leaf background stamp, I stamped the "solid" image on scrap paper first, so that it was lighter.  The outline image was stamped full strength!  This is a neat trick for any 2-step stamping--so you don't have to have two inks!

The die cut leaf was cut out with the Leaves #2 Die and my Big Shot.  I then put it through again with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing fodler--love the texture!  I used a sponge dauber to apply some Shimmer Paint (Champagne Mist).  It showed up really well in the photo!!  It really is much more muted in real life--more shimmery!  For the ribbons, I just lined up three pieces of 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon--I liked the multi-color look of them!

Fun Folds!

Hi!  My stamp club met on Friday night (my abs still hurt from laughing!!), and they had requested to see the center step card!  I love making these, so I was more than happy to oblige!!  Here's the card we made:

Supplies used:  Gently Falling & Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets;  Pool Party, Soft Suede & Naturals Ivory cardstock;  Spice Cake Designer Paper;  Pool Party ruffled ribbon;  Pool Party, Soft Suede & Crumb Cake Classic inks;  Modern label, 1 1/4" square, 1 3/8" square and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punches

We also made a matching envelope, lined with Spice Cake dsp:

Measurements are:

Naturals Ivory:  10 3/4" x 6 3/4"

Score at 1/2" on each of the long sides, the turn and score at 3" & 7 1/2".  You'll cut off the four corner pieces, leaving "tabs" on the center section. 

The designer paper is 5 1/2" x 4 1/2"

Divas Sketch Challenge #157

Good morning!!  Wow--does it seem like I do alot of sketch challenges?!!  I love doing them--that's why!! :-)  I love having a starting point for a card--it really helps to get the creative juices flowing!!

Here's our sketch--Elizabeth is our hostess for October, and her sketches are great!!

Yes, I've come back to Gently Falling and Spice Cake!!  I can't get enough of this color combination either!  Pool Party and Soft Suede--gotta love it!!  And, do you see that ruffled ribbon--so pretty!!  There is also some Crumb Cake ink on the main image--one of the background stamps!!

Sweet and Simple

Good morning!  Here's one of the last cards we made at my September Stamp-a-stack.  It's fairly simple, but cute, at least I think!! :-)

The card base is More Mustard (5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4").  I layered a piece of my beautiful Spice Cake Designer Paper (4 1/4" x 3") onto Pool Party cardstock (4 1/2" x 3 1/4").  For the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday in Soft Suede on a scrap of Very Vanilla, then stamped leaves in Pool Party.  The leaves are from an old favorite, Lovely as a Tree.  I layered that onto a Soft Suede scalloped oval.  The ribbon is the ruffled ribbon in Pool Party!  This ribbon is so pretty--it doesn't even need to be tied in a pretty bow!!
