Saturday Sketch Challenge #244

Hooray!  It's time for another sketch from the Stamping 411 Operators!! 

And, here's my card:

I started with the Doily Sizzlet--it's cut out of the Twitterpated Designer Paper!  The pink doily wasn't showing up very well on the Blushing Bride card base, so I added a 3 1/2" circle of whisper white behind it.  The white scalloped circle was cut using the Perfect Pennants Die.  Then, I used the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch for the Blushing Bride layer.  And, finally on top is a 2" circle of Whisper White (cut using the Circles #2 Die), stamped with the Delicate Doilies stamp set in Blushing Bride ink!  Whew!!  That was alot of round layers!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #243

Hooray!  It's another fun sketch over at the Stamping 411 Blog!! 

Isn't it pretty!  Here's my card:

I went totally "girly" on this one!  Colors are Whisper White and Blushing Bride.  I used the Twitterpated Designer Paper, and stamped on it with Blushing Bride ink!  The stamps are from the Baroque Motif Stamp set--haven't used this one in awhile!  But, I still love it!  The sentiment is from the Elementary Elegance Sale-a-bration set, and is stamped in Early Espresso ink.

Saturday Sketch Challenge #242

Happy Friday!  I've been stamping the day away, preparing for my class on Sunday!  Can't wait!! 

This week's sketch was so much fun!! 

There were a million ideas running through my head, but I ended up with an "obvious" interpretation of this sketch:

I used the Sweet Shop Designer Paper, and it picked my colors for me!!  The card baseis Whisper White, then there's a layer of Wisteria Wonder--it was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  Then, I cut out squares of the designer paper and layered them on Whisper White.  The butterflies were cut using the Beatiful Wings Embosslit--aren't the pretty?!!  For the embellishment, I used half the Curly Label punch and a designer in-color brad!  Super easy, but super sweet!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #241

It's time for another Saturday Sketch Challenge!!!  This week was a really fun one:

And, my card:

I used my "Bordering on Romance" stamp set (love this one!) along with a sentiment from "Loving Thoughts".  We received this set at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference, and it's really pretty!  I also used the Twitterpated Designer Paper--the colors are so great in this paper!!  I stamped the flower in Black Stazon, then colored in with Stampin' Write Markers (Island Indigo, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz).

Saturday Sketch Challenge #240

Good afternoon!!  It's time for another wonderful sketch over at the Stamping 411 Blog!  I hope you'll play along with us!

Isn't this a pretty sketch!  I don't usually "tilt" anything on my cards, so this was a fun change for me!  Here's my card:

I started with the fun Sweet Shop Designer Paper--love those cupcakes!   Using designer paper makes it easy to choose colors--I used all three found in the cupcake design:  Soft Suede, Pool Party and Calypso Coral!  The sentiment is from Word Play (on of my favs!), and is stamped with Soft Suede Classic Ink.  Look at that ribbon!!!  It's from the Everyday Enchantment collection in the Sale-a-bration brochure, and it's sooooo pretty!!  The brads are from the In Color Designer Printed brads--Calypso Coral.  I like the polka dots, and decided to repeat that pattern by running the soft suede and pool party background pieces through the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder!  I was really happy with the way this one turned out!  Hope you like it!!

Saturday Sketch challenge #239

Wow!!  Leadership has been so much fun!!  I've learned sooooo much, and enjoyed some great times with my friends!  Tomorrow I'll be home, and it's back to normal life!

We're just a few weeks away from Valentine's Day, so here's a fun card:

I used all kinds of fun stuff from the Occasions Mini Catalog:  Take it to Heart Stamp Set, along with the Hearts Collection Framelits to cut out my layered hearts.  The hearts on the small circles were cut and embossed (at the same time!) using the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit Die!  I added our new Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to the small hearts (just put a dot on, and smear it around with your finger!) and to the outline of the stamped image!  So sparkly!  My colors are Real Red and Whisper White!  You can see the measurements on the Stamping 411 Blog!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #238

Good afternoon!!  How's your weekend been so far?  Hope it's been fun!  Why not take some time this weekend and play along with the Saturday Sketch Challenge?  You can see all the measurements for the sketch on the Stamping 411 Blog--be sure to leave a link to your creation there, as well!!

Here's the sketch for this week:

Wouldn't the sketch itself make a pretty card?!! 

Here's my card:

A very simple card, using the Spotlight technique!  I stamped the image (Packed for Birthday) twice.  Once is left uncolored, and mounted on Basic Black cardstock.  With the other, I punched out a 1 1/4" circle, and then colored that in with my Stampin' Write markers, and mounted it on a 1 3/8" circle of Basic Black.  The yellow layer is a piece of Daffodil Delight from the Brights Patterns Stack.  For the ribbon, I adhered a strip of Real Red Satin Ribbon to the card using Sticky Strip.  Then, took another piece and tied a bow--that's attached with a glue dot!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #237

What a fun sketch we have for you today over at the Stamping 411 blog!!

I love the simplicity of the sketch--leaves alot of room for embellishments!  Or, if you're like me, it makes it easy to create a clean and simple card!!

I used the Apothecary Art Stamp Set and Labels Collection Framelits.  But this time, no layering!  I just cut out the main image, then sponged the edges!  Colors are Island Indigo and Riding Hood Red!  And, did you see those pearls!!  They are so much bigger than our "regular" pearls!!  So much fun to play with!  The designer paper is Twitterpated again--I have a feeling you're going to be seeing ALOT of this paper--I absolutely love it!  I hope you don't get tired of it!! :-)

Hello!!!  And, happy weekend!!  Check out this FUN sketch:

And, my card:

I love, love, love this new designer paper!!!  It's called Twitterpated, and it's in the upcoming Occasions Mini catalog!  The colors are so much fun!  I used Riding Hood Red and Baja Breese for this card, along with the new Blushing Bride Pleated ribbon!  So pretty!!  Fro the sentiment, I used Teeny Tiny Wishes, and the word window punch!  Very simpel card, but pretty!  That designer paper does all the work for you!!
