Gorgeous Leaves for 2 Challenges!

This weekend, my downline got together for some stamping fun!  We learned a One Sheet Wonder technique, and the Alcohol Ink background technique!  This uses the Stampin' Blends and 91% alcohol to create really cool backgrounds!  As I was looking at the pieces of vellum this morning, I decided they would be perfect for some CAS fall cards!!  Two challenges:  The Paper Players #559 and Addicted to CAS #207 both asked for fall cards!  So, here you go!

For the background, I used the dark Night of Navy & dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends, along with the 91% alcohol!  I love this technique--you'll see more from me!

Peaceful Deer for Christmas

Good morning!  Can you believe that Sale-a-bration is almost over?!!  If there are still items you would like to get, please do so by this Thursday, Sept 30th!  Be advised--all items are "while supplies last"--so don't wait too long!

Today's card is one I made a while back--was trying to come up with designs for my Holiday Card Classes.   Can't remember why I didn't use this one, but I didn't!  I think it's a great "masculine" Christmas card--don't you?

Christmas3

For the main image, I stamped directly onto the Pe-aceful Prints Designer Paper--love the effect!  The leaping deer was stamped on Basic White cardstock, then punched out and adhered to the card.  Very simple!

Trifold Card with Nature's Harvest

Good morning!  I love the Nature's Harvest Bundle--it's so pretty, and very easy to create with!  My stamp club ladies love to learn new things, so when I saw this fun fold idea, I knew I had to show them!  We had a lot of laughs as we learned how to cut it!!  But, the cards all turned out great!

If you'll notice--I put my right panel into the embossing folder the wrong direction, and now the script is going up and down!  haha!!  Oh well!

I'm entering this in the TGIF Challenge #335:  Fall and Pumpkins.

Here are all the fun items used on today's card:

Delicate Dahlias

Good morning!  What a busy week it's been!  Happily busy though!  I'm so excited--we're having an "in person" team meeting this morning--so fun!!  I'll show you the cards and projects from the meeting later!!  (Don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone coming!!)

In the meantime, enjoy this fun, simple card using the beautiful Delicate Dahlias!  It's paired with the Beautifully Penned Designer Paper.  Both these items are available FREE with purchase!!

Fall sas 6

What I love most about this set is that it doesn't need to be aligned perfectly!  For this card, the "solid" image is stamped in Polished Pink, and then the "ouline" image in Tuxedo Black.  The Basic Rhinestones were colored with the Polished Pink Stampin' Blends!  Love that you can have any color you'd like in rhinestones!!

Measurements:

  • Bumblebee card base:5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” then folded on the crease with the Bone Folder, 1-1/8” x 2-3/8”, scraps to die cut leaves
  • Basic White: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Mossy Meadow and Cinnamon Cider: scraps to die cut leaves
  • Early Espresso: 1-1/2” x 3-3/4”

Instructions:

  1. Using Mossy Meadow, Bumblebee, and Cinnamon Cider ink and the Blending Brushes, create a background on the Basic White piece. With Early Espresso ink, randomly stamp large leaf image to create a background piece. Adhere to card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  2. With Early Espresso ink, stamp sentiment from In Your Words onto Bumblebee cardstock.
  3. Run Early Espresso cardstock through Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
  4. With Paper Snips, cut one Paper Lattice on each end to about 1”. Using dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere to back of Early Espresso piece. Set aside to dry.
  5. Die cut your choice of leaves out of Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, and Mossy Meadow cardstock. Use your Take Your Pick tool and the Brush Tip to extract any pieces that don’t come out cleanly. Tip: have your dies face up, put cardstock on top, run through die-cutting machine back and forth, slowly, 3-4 times. That helps pop the loose pieces out.
  6. Arrange array of leaves on card front and set in place with dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue in spots that will, next, be covered with sentiment piece. Do the same with smaller leaves on two corners of the Bumblebee sentiment piece. Allow to dry somewhat.
  7. With Stampin’ Dimensionals, add sentiment atop leaves on card front so the leaves are coming out of the top.
  8. With the Dark Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blend, color three Basic Rhinestone Jewels and attach to card front.
