Divas Sketch Challenge #124

Good morning!  Do you have big plans for the weekend?  Not us--it's going to be a nice, quiet one!  Those are few and far between, so we're going to enjoy it!

This morning's sketch is a lovely one!

I went soft and romantic for this card:

Now that Valentine's Day is over, it's time to head into spring and Easter!  This card was made with the Easter Blossoms stamp set, found in the Occasions Mini catalog.  I stamped the branch image with Baja Breeze ink, then watercolored the blossoms with Not Quite Navy ink using my Aquapainter.  The circle was cut with the Big Shot and Scallop Circle Die.  I used the Scallop Edge punch for the bottom, and Baja Breeze Seam Binding for the bow!  I added Pearls to the ribbon--just thought it needed some bling!

Hope you like it!!  Now, let's see what Carol has done!!!  Click HERE to hop on over to her blog!!

Enjoy your weekend!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Hooray for Friday!!  And, you know what Friday means!!!  A new sketch over at the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog!!  Come and play along with us!!!

This week's sketch is brought to you by

This was a great sketch to work with!  You could use any designer paper and small image, and create hundreds of these cards!!  I chose to use the Sweet Stitches Designer Paper:

This paper is so much fun--very bright colors!  And, I was so excited to realize that this stamp from Puns from the Past works so great with this paper!!  For the little embellishments to the right of the sewing machine, I cut off three of the little pompoms from the Daffodil Delight Pompom trim!!!  I know--BRILLIANT!!  haha!!  They are a little fuzzy, so work carefully!  I used mini glue dots to attach them!

Greenhouse Gala Class

Bright colors, bold patterns & a vintage texture create an eye-catching combination that is sure to elicit a “wow” from everyone who sees it. In this class you’ll use the Greenhouse Gala DP, Friends Never Fade stamp set and Vintage Wallpaper textured impressions folder to create these four gorgeous cards along with a coordinating window card box to gift them in!

Class will be held Tuesday, March 22 @ 7pm!

Diva Coffee Break Designs #215

Happy Wednesday!!  It's so nice and warm here in Albuquerque as I type this!  It's hard to be inside!!  It's been such a cold winter--I'm definitely ready for some heat!!

This week's sketch was a tough one for me!!  I had no idea where to start or what to use!  I found a color challenge over at the Paper Player's blog, and started with that!

Challenge 34

And, of course, here's the sketch for the Divas:

And, here's what I came up with:

I used my "go to" stamp set lately, Plane & Simple!  It's so much fun to use!  I used my Big Shot and the 3" and 3 1/2" circle dies for the main image and the Cherry Cobbler piece behind it.

Please enjoy your Wednesday, and be sure to play along with us!!  You can check out the rest of the Design Team's creations HERE.

Good morning!!!  My wonderful Stamp Club met on Friday night--what a great time we had!  We made two fun projects--just keep in mind, Friday was BEFORE Valentine's day!! haha!!

I know--nothing exciting yet...................but check out the inside:

It's a Mini Flip Fold Album!!  It measures about 4" x 4" when folded up!!!  It's so darn cute!!  The template was shared on SUDSOL by Robin Messenheimer! (SUDSOL is a site for Stampin' Up! demonstrators--loads of ideas!!)

Some Love, and some Classes!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!  Hope your day is filled with love!

This is a case of another card I made (HERE). I used the Presto Patterns Specialty paper and used my Brayer to color it red!  Then, I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit to create the white heart--it's behind the heart punched from our totally awesome Glimmer paper!!!  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and punched out with the word window punch!

I wanted to send out a quick reminder of my upcoming classes!!  Be sure to register early--they seem to be filling very quickly these days!! (click on any of the class titles for more information or to register!)

Friday, Feb 18, 5p to 9pm  Come anytime--and you don't need to stay!  We'll have two fun cards for you to make!!  Hope you can join me!!

Yes, it's another Valentine's card!!  I can't help myself!!  They're just so much fun to make!!!
