Hi and welcome back! I am having so much fun seeing all your wonderful creations each week!! I am completely blown away by the talent that's out there!! I hope you'll continue to play along!!! Be sure to leave a link on the home blog, Stamping 411.
Now, on to today's sketch:
Isn't this so pretty--so many possibilities!! Here's one:
Can you believe that I don't own any oval dies?! I know--shameful! Maybe that will have to be on my next order!! LOL! But, that's the nice thing about sketches--they are a starting point!!! Let your inspiration take you where it will!!!
The base of the card is Old Olive, then Very Vanilla. The scalloped background was done on Watercolor Paper--I used the Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate! Dab on Old Olive Craft Ink, lay your watercolor paper down (very carefully--you don't want any smudges!), then send it all through your big shot! The letterpress plate actually DEbosses the image--so the parts with no color are raised! Very cool!
For the "oval" image, I created a rectangle and stamped the large leaf from Gently Falling. I stamped off for the background, then full strength for the outline of the leaf. The "thank you" (from Perfectly Penned), was stamped in Elegant Eggplant. The card is finished off with some of our Chantilly Crochet Trim.
Old Olive: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"; 3 3/4" x 2 1/4"
Very Vanilla: 5 1/4" x 4"; 3 3/8" x 1 7/8"
Elegant Eggplant: 3 1/2" x 2"
Watercolor Paper: 5" x 3 3/4"
