Divas Sketch Challenge #197

Good morning!  Looks like another hot weekend!  But, we've been getting rain showers in the evenings, so that sure helps!  I haven't been out much--our Stampin' Up! Convention is next week, and I've been busy getting ready for that!!  So, I've spent alot of time in my stamp studio!! LOL!!

Well, it's Saturday, and that means another great sketch over at the UDI Blog!!

And, my card:

This is a card we're doing at my Card Clubs this weekend.  I love it!  The sentiment is from the set Heavenly Blessings.  I just love the saying, and the font!!  I think it's so pretty!  I stamped it in Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, and added a scalloped edge of Summer Starfruit.  The card base is Cajun Craze, and it was embossed with the Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  Next is a banner from the Comfort Cafe Designer Paper.  I used one of my square punches to make the tail of it!

Please head on over to the UDI Blog and check out the team's cards!!  You'll love them!

Have a GREAT weekend!!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #264

Howdy!!  How is everyone this wonderful afternoon?!!  I'm doing great!  Ready for the weekend!!!

The operators at Stamping 411 have a FUN sketch for you today!!  I really enjoyed this one!

And, my card:

I actually liked my card this week!  It's so bright and cheery!!  I used the World Treasures Stamp Set, and embossed the peacock in Tangerine Tango.  I watercolored the "white" spaces with Baja Breeze and Pacific Point.  It's so easy to color after you've embossed--the ink doesn't "stick" to the embossing, so you never mess up!! LOL!!  I cut out the peacock, and mounted him on a piece of Baja Breeze that I embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (& Big Shot).  The background is designer paper found in the International Bazaar pack--love this paper!!  I stamped the sentiment, then cut it out using the Apothecary Accents Framelits (& Big Shot).  I finished off the card with some Pacific Point Stitched Grosgrain!  Hope you like it!!

Now, go check out the other operators' cards on the Stamping 411 site!  Lots of eye candy over there!!

Supplies Used:

World Treasures Stamp Set

Pacific Point, Baja Breeze & Whisper White cardstock;  International Bazaar Designer Paper

Versamark Ink;  Pacific Point and Baja Breeze Classic Ink

Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder;  Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder & Heat Tool;  Pacific Point Stitched Grosgrain

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Happy Friday!!  We're off this morning to do some volunteering!  The boys and I really enjoy it--I love the time I get to spend with them, and they feel good doing something for someone else!

But, before we go, here is our sketch for today from Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Kim made us think with this sketch!! :-)  It took me awhile, but here's what I came up with:

I used the Wicked Cool Stamp Set!  I know--it's a bit early for Halloween!  But, one of the girls in my stamp club asked for a Halloween card!  I tried!  But, this one had too many pieces and parts (my little brain doesn't like cutting out so many little pieces!! LOL!), so I made another card for her!

Here are the supplies I used:

Wicked Cool Stamp Set

Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock

Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry & Basic Black Classic Inks

1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches;  Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain

Please continue on our little blog hop by head on over to the HOMEPAGE now!!

Have a GREAT day!!

I'm on a roll!!!

Happy Monday!

What a great weekend!  It was so nice and relaxing!!  In fact, I was able to play along with some fun challenges--you can see one of the cards I made on my Stampin' Up! Blog!  I've been playing around with the SU! Blog, seeing what I can and can't do with it!  Don't worry though--90% of my sharing will still be done here!

I also worked alot on my upcoming class offerings.  I will continue to do monthly Stamp-a-Stacks, but I wanted to add some fun new things to the schedule!  Here are some ideas for classes:

  • Cards "To Go" Classes (for those that can't make the stamp-a-stacks!)
  • Scrapbooking Classes
  • Technique Classes
  • More "gift-y" classes (3d items, etc)

What else would you like to see?  Leave me a comment, or email me at if there's a class you would like me to offer!!

One more thing--would you be interested in Private Classes?  I can bring any of the classes mentioned above (or my stamp-a-stacks) to YOUR house!  You can inivte your friends over, and have some fun!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

P.S.  Be sure and check out the first "Top Nacho" award on our new challenge site!  See it HERE!!

Dynamic Duos #10

Good morning!!  I had so much fun yesterday!  I spent several hours in my studio, just designing!  I have several classes and clubs coming up, so I wanted to get those all ready!  I also played with some challenges!  One is the Dynamic Duos!  I love these color challenges!  This combo is one of my favorites!

And, here's what I came up with:

I used the Sweet Floral background stamp!  Such a pretty image!  I colored right on the rubber with my Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write markers, gave it huff, then stamped!  Very easy!!  The sentiment is from the Best Dad Ever stamp set, and it's cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits.

Sweet and simple!

Here are the supplies I used:

Sweet Floral Background and Best Dad Ever Stamp Sets

Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock

Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers

Bitty Banners Framelits & Big Shot;  Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain!

Have a GREAT Day!!!

Today's sketch is a simple one:

Lots of room for creativity!!!

Here's what I did:

You know me!!  Clean and Simple!  I do love ribbon though, so I try to add it whenever possible!  Here are the supplies I used:

Friendly Phrases Stamp Set

Midnight Muse Classic Ink Pad

Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon

Scallop Edge Punch;  1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches.

Saturday Sketch Challenge #263

Time for another Saturday Sketch Challenge!!  Yes, we know we post on Fridays, but that's to give you a little extra time to play along!! :-)  Anyway, here's our sketch for you today:

Super simple sketch--so fun to work with!!!  Here's what I came up with:

I started with the Comfort Cafe Designer Paper--with all the fun patterns, I know it would look great as a layered flower!  I used the new Floral Frames Framelits to cut out my three flowers, then topped it off with a Summer Starfruit Dahlia!  The card base is Midnight Muse, and then comes the Cajun Craze layer!  It was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and Big Shot!  For the sentiment, I stamped the words from Itty Bitty Banners, and then cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits!  Super Simple Card!

Now, head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog and check out the other works of art from the Operators!  And, have a GREAT weekend!!!
