Divas Sketch Challenge #221

Good morning!  What a wonderful week we've had!!  The boys are out of school, and the hubby is off work!  Not doing anything "big", but sure enjoying the time together!!

We have a great sketch for you today:

And, my card:

I used the color challenge on the Nacho Challenge Blog:  Perfect Plum, Old olive and Soft Suede.  I really like it alot!!  And, I love that I've found another use for the Snowflake Soiree set--winter birthdays!! :-)  Hooray!

What do you think of those LARGE rhinestones?!!!  I love them!!!  They're in the new Occasions Mini Catalog, coming January 3rd!!

Head on over to the UDI Blog and check out all the great cards!!  Love these pennants!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Good morning!! And, Happy Friday!! We're having some work done in our bathrooms--we're so excited!!  We've lived here for 19 years, so it's time for "new" bathrooms!

Here's our great sketch for today--brought to you by my good friend, Sharon:

and, here's my card:

I went with a Thank You card--we all need these after the holidays, right?!!  I chose two patterns from the Festival of Prints Designer Paper, then simply added the sentiment from "Word Play".  Pretty simple, but nice!!

Supplies used:

Stamp Set:  Word Play

Paper:  Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler & Very Vanilla cardstock;  Festival of Prints Designer Paper

Ink:  Cherry Cobbler

Misc:  Decorative Label Punch;  Big Shot & Snow Flurry Die;  Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim;  In Color Brads

Have a GREAT weekend!!

Go see the team's cards on the Sketch Frenzy Friday Blog!!  And, play along with us!!

Nacho Average Challenge #26

I hope you all enjoy a relaxing day with family and friends.

Our challenge this week over at the Nacho Average Challenges is a color challenge:

Aren't they pretty?  Well, I had a really hard time coming up with a project!  Here's what I finally did--hey, if all else fails, use snowflakes!!

To help, I used a sketch from Retro Sketches.  It's always easier for me to create when I have a sketch to go by!

I used all the colors along with Snowflake Soiree.  The glimmer snowflake was cut with the Snow Flurry Die and Big Shot, then topped off with an Old Olive button!  Super easy!

Have a great day!!!

Nacho Average Holiday Brunch!

Last Saturday, we held our annual Holiday Brunch for the Nachos (my downline group)!  We always have such a blast!!  Here's a pic of all the ladies that were able to come:

I love these ladies--each and every one of them.  That's what I love most about my "job"--the wonderful friends that I've made that I might not have met otherwise.

We also so a card swap and a fun gift exchange!  I didn't get any pics of the gifts--I was too busy stealing Carla's gift each round!! LOL!!  But, here are the swaps we made!  The theme was "thank you"!

and finally, my card:

Divas Sketch Challenge #220

Good morning!!  Today's sketch was very fun to work with--I just love all the banners these days!!!

and, my card:

I cut three strips of designer paper (from the Festival of Prints), and punched out the tails with a square punch.  I layered these onto a 1/4 sheet of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  That is layered onto Very Vanilla, then added to a cardbase of Lucky Limeade.  The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set--it's stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink, then cut out using my big shot and the Labels framelits.  I sponged the edges with cherry cobbler ink to make it "pop" just a bit more!  Oh--and I want to make sure and point out the cute little x's along the bottom of the Cherry Cobbler cardstock!  Aren't they adorable?!!  It's a new product from the upcoming Occasions mini--called Needlepoint Border Embossing Folders!  Love them!!

The Occasions Mini's were mailed out this week--you should be getting one in your mailbox soon!!  If you don't, please let me know and we'll get one to you!!

Now, go check out the other wonderful creations on the UDI Blog!!!

Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Good morning, and happy Friday!  Only four more days until Christmas--are you ready?!!! :-)

Today's sketch is brought to us by Robbie:

I used some fun items found in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog for my card:

Items used:

Stamp Set:  Collage Curios

Paper:  Summer Starfruit & Whisper White cardstock;  Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (this is like the Festival of Prints--smaller sheets!  each sheet measures 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"!)

Misc:  1" circle punch;  Big Shot and Tasteful Trim Die

Have a GREAT day!!  Please be sure and check out the rest of the design team's work HERE!  And, then play along with us!!

Club Celebration!!

I love my clubs--these ladies have become my friends, and we always have a great time!  Our current round of clubs finished up in November (we start again in January!), so I wanted to do a fun class just for them!!  They didn't have to purchase anything--just show up and stamp!!  Here are the three things we made:

This is a fun hot chocolate slider!  If you pull on the ribbon, it pulls the hot cocoa packet up!!  I love all the sparkle!!

I saw a similar ornament on Stampin' Connection (our demo sharing site!), and just had to try it!!  It's also very sparkly!!

and finally, we made the bows, using the wonderful instructions that Stampin' Up! is including with orders:

This was my favorite project!!  I love these little bows!

I have just one spot left in my Monday Card Club.  If you're interested, you can see all the details HERE.

Merry Christmas!!!
