Nacho Average Challenge #122

Good morning!!  Our color challenge this morning on the Nacho Blog goes well with the New Year's Holiday!


and, I didn't stray!  Here's my New Year's Card:


The "2015" is from a graduation set that is coming out in the Occasions Catalog (Jan 6!!).  I have a son graduating this year, and thought this set would be perfect for me!  So, I was doubly happy when I used it on this card!  I love stamps that can do double duty! :-)

Here are the supplies I used:

  • Class of 2015 Stamp (137175)
  • Starburst Sayings Stamp Set (133182w or 133185c)
  • Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708)
  • Versamark Ink (102283)
  • Gold Embossing Powder (109129)
  • Heat Tool (129053)
  • Basic Black Cardstock (121045)
  • Brushed Gold Cardstock (102935)
  • Gold Glimmer Paper (133719)
  • Basic Black Chevron Ribbon (130010)


Banner Blessings




  • Whisper White:  4.25" x 11", score at 5.5"  ;  4" x 5.25"  
  • Lullaby DSP: 2.5" squares of 3 different patterns of the designer series paper to heart punch


  1. Fold Whisper White cardstock in half to form the card base.
  2. Stamp the Friend greeting in lower left corner of card panel with black ink.
  3. Stamp the vertical lines arrow image to the right of Friend image with black ink.
  4. Color the Friend image with lightest Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities markers.
  5. Punch 3 heart images out of DSP and mount top & bottom ones with dimensionals, center one is flat to card.
  6. Color several Pearl Jewels with darkest Daffodil Delight Blendabilities marker and adhere randomly to card.
  7. Mount the card panel to the card base with several dimensionals.

Case this Sketch #104

Woohoo!!  Sat down this morning and actually stamped a card!  I had to find my desk first--and that took me awhile!  There was alot of clutter piled high!  I wanted to start designing cards for my Birthday Stamp-a-stack, and here's one of the possibilities:

  • Stamps:  Big Day Sale-a-bration Stamp Set (139109w or 139112c)
  • Ink:  Night of Navy (126970), Bermuda Bay marker (from the Brights Collection, 131259)
  • Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay (131197), Night of Navy (100867), Whisper White (100730), Gold Foil Sheets (132622), Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper (137783)
  • Misc:  Decorative Label Punch (120907), SNAIL Adhesive (104332)


December Club Projects

Here are the three things we made for our December projects!   Our theme for December was "stocking stuffers"!!

A cute little gift bag made from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack:

with a gift tag in the back pocket:


and finally, a triangle box using the Under the Tree Specialty Paper:

  •   Whisper White card base: 5 ½" x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”, 2” x 4”, scrap
  •   Crushed Curry:  4" x 5 ¼”
  •   DSP:  2” x 4”
  •   Cherry Cobbler ribbon: 5”, Gold Baker’s Twine: 4”


  • Punch dsp with Angled Tag Topper punch to create tag.  Repeat with 2” x 4” piece of Whisper White card stock.
  • Stamp nutcracker image onto Whisper White tag using Memento ink.  Stamp greeting below nutcracker.
  • Stamp mustache image onto scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using Memento ink.  Die cut using Mustache Framelit.
  • Color the following with Blendabilities:

*        Hat – 3 shades of Cherry Cobbler, 3 shades of Daffodil Delight

*        Collar – 3 shades of Daffodil Delight

*        Hair, eyebrows, mustache – medium & dark Crumb Cake

*        Face – Ivory & Natural

  • Adhere die-cut mustache over stamped mustache on tag using Dimensionals.
  • String Cherry Cobbler ribbon through both tags and tie with Gold Baker’s Twine..
  • Emboss Crushed Curry card stock using Large Polka Dot embossing folder.  Adhere to card base.
  • Adhere tags to card base using Dimensionals.

Festival of Trees Chocolate Treat



  • 5.-1/2” x 2” Card Stock of your color choice
  • 1-3/4” x 1-3/4” Designer Series Paper (DSP)
  • 7” White Organza Ribbon
  • Scrap Whisper White


  1. Score one end of the 2” x 5-1/2”card stock at 2-5/8", flip it over and score on the other end at 2-5/8".  This should give you a nice 1/4" base for the candy.
  2. Punch each end of card stock using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
  3. Add the DSP to one side of the punched card stock (this will be your front).
  4. Wrap cardstock around candy.  Use a little SNAIL adhesive to attach the candy to the card stock.
  5. Stamp the tree in Garden Green on scrap white paper and then stamp either the garland or dots in Cherry Cobbler on top of tree.
  6. Punch out tree using the tree punch.  Adhere to the front using Stampin Dimensionals.
  7. Stamp the A Merry Little Wish in Cherry Cobbler on scrap white, punch out using Word Window.
  8. Adhere across the tree using Stampin Dimensionals.
  9. Slip Ribbon thru top and tie in knot.

Gift Box "Ornament"



  • Pear Pizzaz:  8”x8”, plus scraps for punching
  • Cherry Cobbler: approx. 3”x5” for die cutting the pennant
  • Whisper White: 1”x4.5” strip, plus scraps for circle punch
  • All is Calm Designer Series Paper: approx. 8.5”x5.5” for die cutting


  1. Score & punch the box using the 8”x8” sheet of cardstock- follow the directions on the Gift Box Punch Board for a 3.25” x 3.25”x 1.75” box; NOTE: add your gift to the box before completing assembly of the box and the next steps J
  2. Die cut the Cherry Cobbler using the Party Pennants Bigz die, then stamp the stripes from Gorgeous Grunge using the Whisper White ink pad; use a Stamp-a-ma-jig if you prefer perfectly lined up stripes; once ink is dry, score a fold line at about 3” and adhere to the box using Glue Dots
  3. Stamp the snowman and snow from White Christmas on Whisper White using Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzaz ink; punch with the 1- ¼” punch, adhere with SNAIL adhesive to the scallop circle punched from Pear Pizzazz; use Dazzling Details to colour in the ‘snow’ & use Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to add small dots of glitter to the scallop circle; allow to dry
  4. Die cut the All is Calm Designer Series Paper using the Gift Bow Bigz die and assemble the bow using Glue Dots; adhere to the pennant using Glue Dots
  5. Stamp the sentiment on the strip of Whisper White, use the Hexagon punch to create a banner cut on each end, then use the Bone Folder to round out the strip to create a wavy banner; adhere to the box using Glue Dots; add Dazzling Details to create a sparkly border
