Pastels and Polka Dots

Good morning, and Happy Wednesday!  Hope your week is going well!!  Today's card was made for two challenges:  As You See It #269, which has a specific recipe to use–I got them all in!! haha!!   and the Paper Players #580, which is a sketch.  I needed a sketch to follow to make sure I got all the elements in from the recipe:  Die cut or Punch, Embossing, Twine or Ribbon, Pastels and sentiment "thinking of you".   Here it is:

The Balmy Blue layer is embossed using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  for the next layer, I cut a scalloped rectangle out, then added polka dots using a stencil and my blending brushes.  I used Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and So Saffron.  The So Saffron layer was also cut out using a die cut, and I added polka dots to it, too.  The sentiment was simply stamped and cut out using a die.  All the dies used today were from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I added some printed vellum behind my white ribbon!

So, two challenges completed!!

  1. Beautiful, Tammy, and so smart to use a sketch, too – I always need a little help in that area, lol. Love your choices – I so have to try layering that ribbon, too! Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!
