Pastels and Polka Dots

Good morning, and Happy Wednesday!  Hope your week is going well!!  Today's card was made for two challenges:  As You See It #269, which has a specific recipe to use--I got them all in!! haha!!   and the Paper Players #580, which is a sketch.  I needed a sketch to follow to make sure I got all the elements in from the recipe:  Die cut or Punch, Embossing, Twine or Ribbon, Pastels and sentiment "thinking of you".   Here it is:

The Balmy Blue layer is embossed using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  for the next layer, I cut a scalloped rectangle out, then added polka dots using a stencil and my blending brushes.  I used Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and So Saffron.  The So Saffron layer was also cut out using a die cut, and I added polka dots to it, too.  The sentiment was simply stamped and cut out using a die.  All the dies used today were from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I added some printed vellum behind my white ribbon!

So, two challenges completed!!

Here are the products used today:

Beautiful, Tammy, and so smart to use a sketch, too - I always need a little help in that area, lol. Love your choices - I so have to try layering that ribbon, too! Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!

I love those stenciled dots. Ink blending/stenciling is my current favorite technique. Your card is stunning.

Lovely combination of challenges. The subtle colour changes in your stencilled dots is lovely and the addition of the ribbon for extra texture is a great touch. Thanks for joining in with us at As You See It Challenge.
