Easter Friends in Fresh Freesia

Good morning!!  The challenge at InkSpire Me is "Easter Blessings", and this card is just that!

I made this for a swap with my downline--I really wanted to use this bunny, along with the In Color Shimmer Vellum!

Very simple to make:  Stamp the bunny in Smoky Slate, and color him with Fresh Freesia and sponge dauber!  He is layered onto a  quarter sheet of Fresh Freesia Vellum, and then a Fresh Freesia card base!  Very simple, but very cute!  Just can't go wrong with this bunny!!

Here are all the items used today:

Simply Succulents!

  • Granny Apple Green: 4.25” x 11”
  • Misty Moonlight: 4” x 5.25”
  • Very Vanilla: scrap (to fit smaller Stitched So Sweetly Die)
  • Vellum: 3” x 6” (to fit leaf die)
  • Rainbow Glimmer Paper: 3.75” x 5”

  1. Score & Fold Granny Green Cardstock at 5.5” to create cardbase, set aside
  2. Die cut the second larger rectangle die from the center of the Misty Moonlight Cardstock
  3. Use the Sttiched Greenery Die with the Rainbow Glimmer Paper, then adhere the Glimmer Paper to the Misty Moonlight Cardstock (covering the hole in the center). Adhere to the cardfront.
  4. Die cut the smallest rectangle die from the Very Vanilla scrap cardstock
  5. Apply Granny Apple Green ink to top half of clear block, and Misty Moonlight ink to the bottom half of clear block to create a palette. Repeatedly tap the stamp on the block, starting on the Granny Apple Green side, and moving the stamp down slightly into the Misty Moonlight ink to create a gradient on the stamp surface. Stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock die cut.
  6. Adhere diecut sentiment onto Misty Moonlight diecut
  7. Die cut the leaf from the Vellum Cardstock. Use dots of liquid glue or touch portions of the die cut to an Adhesive Sheet, then adhere leaf to cardfront.
  8. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere sentiment to card  front

Alcohol Ink Background!

Good morning!  My stamp club ladies love to learn new techniques, and we learned the alcohol ink background last fall!  But, they wanted a refresher, so here's a new card using Stampin' Blends and Isopropyl Alcohol to create a gorgeous background on vellum:

I used Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay and Pumpkin Pie for this background.  The frame is created using two of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The words and flowers are part of the In the Tropics Dies (retiring soon and on sale!!)  You could use any dies you have though!
