Christmas Cards...........

Good morning!!  I've enjoyed taking a week or so off--from my job and from my Stampin' Up! business!  We had a great holiday, and saw lots of old friends and family!  A much needed rest!

But, I'm back, and as excited as ever to share with you!  Today I have a fun Christmas card made with the wonderful Heartfelt Wishes stamp set and my Stamparatus!

Heartfelt Wishes

I think the Heartfelt Wishes is one of my favorites from the July-December Holiday Catalog!  Just so pretty!!

HEARTFELTWISHES

Measurements:  

  • Basics White Cardstock, 11” x 5.5”
  • Pacific Point Cardstock, 2.5” x 4”
  • Basic White Cardstock, 7.5 x 3.5”
  • Pacific Point Cardstock 1” x 3.5”

Instructions:

  1. Score and fold the 11” x 5.5” piece of Basic White Cardstock cardstock
  2. Adhere the 5.25” x 4” piece of Pacific Point Cardstock to the scored and folded Basic White from step 1
  3. Place 5-6 drops of Pacific Point Refill in one of the sprizters – fill ½ full with rubbing alcohol (I prefer to use 90% rubbing alcohol)
  4. Use one of the Wonderful snowflakes as stencil placing in on the 4.75” piece of Basic White cardstock and spritzing over it
  5. Let piece of cardstock from step 4 dry.
  6. While drying embossing greeting from Heartfelt greeting with Whisper White embossing powder
  7. After stenciled piece of cardstock is dry paint the cardstock with Wink of Stella so that the whole piece is sparkling
  8. Add single Wonderful snowflake to stenciled cardstock piece with shiny side up
  9. Add embossed greeting with dimensionals to stenciled piece of cardstock
  10. Add stenciled piece of cardstock to Pacific Point layer on card base
  11. Add random Artistry Blooms sequins
  12. Add greeting of choice and or hand written message to inside of card.

Encircled in Warmth

ENCIRCLEDINWARMTH

Measurements:

  • Merry Merlot card base:5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” then folded on the crease with the Bone Folder, 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Silver Foil: 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”, 2-3/4” x 2-1/2”
  • Soft Suede and Early Espresso: scraps to make 5 pinecones each 1-1/2” x 2”\
  • Smoky Slate 2-3/4” x 2-1/2”
  • Gray Granite ribbon: two strands each 6”
  • Silver Elegant Trim: 6” plus 6” for a bow

Instructions:

  1. Run Merry Merlot cardstock piece through Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with Timeworn Type embossing folder.
  2. Die cut branch sprays and pinecone piece with Silver Foil, adhere to Merry Merlot layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue then die cut five each pinecones; base/background piece in Soft Suede with top detailed layer in Early Espresso. Using dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere pinecone layers to one another then adhere to Silver Foil branches over silver pinecones.
  3. Stamp sentiment on Smoky Slate with Merry Merlot ink. Die cut with label die from Seasonal Labels Dies. Die cut same label with Silver Foil and also die cut the slits on each side for ribbon threading. Cut Silver Foil label in half with Paper Snips then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, attach to sides of sentiment label.
  4. Thread two Gray Granite ribbon pieces and strand of silver Simply Elegant Trim. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to position then adhere sentiment piece to center of Merry Merlot piece, wrap ribbons around back and secure with household tape.
  5. Attach Merry Merlot piece to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Tie bow from silver Simply Elegant Trim and adhere to left side of sentiment with Mini Glue Dot.
  7. Sprinkle silver Subtle Shimmer Sequins on front and adhere with a dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

What a cute card to include with a plate of cookies!!

SWEETS&TREATS

Measurements

  • Cherry Cobbler: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
  • Old Olive: 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Designer Paper: 2 ½” x 5 ¼”

 Instructions:

  1. Stamp the Old Olive cardstock randomly with hearts using the matching ink pad. Adhere the layer to the card.
  2. Adhere the designer paper to the Old Olive cardstock.
  3. Cut out the tag using the die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
  4. Use the blending brush to add ink to the tag. Pick up some ink using a Water Painter and flick it to add speckles to the tag. Adhere the tag to the card.
  5. Stamp the base and the plum pudding onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock. Colour using Stampin’ Blends, then cut them out using Paper Snips. Add Wink of Stella to the white part of the plum pudding and the poinsettia. Add them to the card using Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink, then cut it out using the die from the Stitched So Sweetly set. Add it to the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Tie a bow using the silver ribbon and add it to the top of the greeting using a Mini Glue Dot.
  8. Add a Rhinestone to the base of the pedestal.

Festive Foliage

I love this Festive Foliage Stamp!  It's so pretty!  Here it is embossed in Gold--how elegant!

Measurements

  • Real Red: 8 ½” x 5 ½”
  • Just Jade: 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”, scrap
  • Basic White: 3 3/8” x 4 5/8”, scrap

Instructions:

  1. Ink Festive Foliage stamp with Versamark and stamp on layer of white, cover with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set with Heat Tool.
  2. Use Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the image and add to the layer of Just Jade.
  3. Wrap ribbon around this layer and secure the ends to the back, add to card base with dimensionals.

Whimsical Trees w/ Merry Melody

Good morning!  Here's another way to use the Merry Melody Embossing Folder!  This time it's paired with the Whimsical Trees Stamp Set:

MERRYMELODY

Measurements

  • Basic White: 5 ½” x 8 ½”; 4” x 5 ¼”; 1 ¼” x 2 ½”
  • Silver Foil Specialty Paper: 2 @ ½” x 4”
  • DSP: 1 ½” x 4”
  • Ribbon: 9”

Instructions:

  1. Stamp the sentiment on the smallest Basic White piece in Mint Macaron ink.
  2. Die cut the sentiment with the small banner die from the Tasteful Label Dies.
  3. Emboss the 4” x 5 ¼” with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing folder using one Specialty Plate for 3D Embossing Folder instead of two standard plates.
  4. Adhere the embossed piece to the folded card base.
  5. Color the pink berries red with the Dark Red Stampin’ Blend (or use the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker – just give it a longer drying time).
  6. Adhere the silver pieces behind the DSP so that an 1/8” – ¼” shows above and below the DSP.
  7. Wrap the ribbon around the DSP and tie with a knot.
  8. Adhere the sentiment next to the ribbon using Mini Dimensionals.
  9. Adhere the layered DSP piece to the card front.

Christmas to Remember

Such detail.  I love the embossed vellum over the designer paper, and the ribbon is the perfect touch!

CHRISTMASTOREMEMBER

Measurements:

  • Cherry Cobbler: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” and a 2” x 4” scrap for die-cutting
  • Basic White: 4” x 5-1/4” and a 1” x 4” scrap for die-cutting
  • Painted Christmas Paper: 4” x 5-1/4”  (pinecone pattern)
  • Vellum: 3-3/4” x 5”
  • Evening Evergreen: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” for die-cutting
  • Soft Succulent: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” for die-cutting
  • Crumb Cake: 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” for die-cutting
  • Early Expresso: 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” for die-cutting

Instructions:

  1. Fold the Cherry Cobbler cardstock in half at the score line and burnish well with your Bone Folder.
  2. Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Basic White Cardstock inside your card.
  3. Adhere the 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Painted Christmas paper to the front of the card.
  4. Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, run the Vellum Cardstock & Merry Melody 3D embossing Folder through the Machine to emboss the Vellum cardstock. Adhere to the front of the card, using Liquid Adhesive only in the center of the cardstock.
  5. Using the Cut & Emboss Machine and the “detailed” pine bough background, cut out twice from both the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock so that you have 4 pieces total. Cut each of these pieces in half using your Paper Trimmer. Adhere the Evening Evergreen first, angling & lining them up in the center (this area won’t be seen once you apply the tags) then layer over these with the Soft Succulent boughs.  TIP:  cut these pieces down as desired – you only want the boughs to show.
  6. Using the Cut & Emboss Machine and the Seasonal Label Dies, cut out the long narrow sentiment tag die using the scrap of Basic White Cardstock; cut the medium label/tag from the scrap of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
  7. Stamp the sentiment onto the White label using Cherry Cobbler ink. Adhere to the center of the Cherry Cobbler die using adhesive and set aside.
  8. Using the Cut & Emboss Machine and the Christmas Pinecone Dies, cut 5 of the 1” bold pinecones from the Early Espresso cardstock and 5 detailed pinecones from the Crumb Cake cardstock.  Adhere together using adhesive.
  9. Using the sentiment label from Step #7 as a guide, adhere 4 of the pinecones onto the card, fitting them around the bough dies.
  10. Adhere the last pinecone die to the sentiment strip using adhesive only at the top (so that the pinecone is half on the end of the label.) Adhere the sentiment strip to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  11. Tie the Fine Art ribbon into a bow and adhere to the card using adhesive.
